Josephine Meachen - Film Creative

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Ilam School of Fine Arts, majoring in photography, Josie Meachen is renowned as an Art Director, Props Buyer, Stylist, and Location Scout. She is also experienced and comfortable in many roles across the creative industries, including coordination and casting.

Josie has been working in the screen and advertising industries in New Zealand’s South Island for twenty years, and has a deep knowledge and affinity with the landscape and people of Canterbury, allowing her to create connections and solutions for the many production crews she has been a part of. Josie is a true team-player, a natural communicator and connector, and she loves to collaborate.

Josie’s film and television credits include work for Netflix, Mastercard, Red Bull, Vodafone, ANZ, Colgate, Fonterra and Swisse in a variety of roles. In addition to her commercial work, Josie has lent her skills to several documentary projects, short films, the ICC World Cup opening ceremony, Terence Davies’ feature film Sunset Song and, most recently, the multi award-winning children’s series Kiri & Lou.
